NHS waiting lists for procedures like hip and knee replacement in the UK are long, but the procedure itself costs you nothing under the NHS. That is a real trade off: time abroad now versus time waiting at no cost at home, and one worth weighing openly. For some patients, waiting at home is the right choice, not travelling.
Donor eggs and sperm have been banned in Turkey since 1987. If your fertility plan depends on donor gametes, Turkey is not where you would go for that part of it.
