Rhinoplasty Aftercare
First week (splint phase): Keep the splint dry at all times. Sleep on your back with your head elevated on two pillows. Avoid bending forward. Sneeze with your mouth open.
Swelling management: Apply cold compresses to your cheeks (never directly on the nose) for the first 48 hours. Avoid salty foods which promote fluid retention.
Sun exposure: Avoid direct sun on your nose for 12 months. SPF50 on the scar area is essential outdoors.
