E-Max (lithium disilicate) crowns sit at $200–$350 per unit and deliver the highest translucency, making them the top choice for front teeth smile makeovers. Price differences of $50–$100 per crown compound quickly in full-arch cases, so material selection has a major impact on total treatment cost.

Lab technology is the single biggest variable behind material. CAD/CAM milled crowns from an in-house digital lab cost the clinic less per unit than outsourced hand-layered restorations, but the fit and consistency are often better. Clinics using intraoral scanners instead of impression trays produce more accurate margins, which reduces remake rates and chair time.

The number of crowns in a case also drives per-unit pricing down—a full set of 20 zirconia crowns will be quoted at a lower per-unit rate than a single crown. Finally, the preparation method matters: some clinics include temporary crowns and multiple try-in appointments, while budget packages may skip the try-in stage entirely.

Ask every clinic the same four questions: What brand and grade of material? Is the lab in-house or outsourced (and where)? Are temporaries and try-in appointments included? What is the warranty period and what does it cover? A quote of $150/crown with an offshore lab using generic zirconia blanks is not comparable to a $250/crown quote from a clinic using Ivoclar blanks milled in-house with a 5-year warranty.
